Decyl Glucoside: light foam and gentle daily care

What is Decyl Glucoside?

Decyl Glucoside (68515-73-1 & 110615-47-9) is a non-ionic surfactant of plant origin. It belongs to a generation of surfactants called Alkyl polyglucosides (APGs), whose raw materials are glucose and fatty alcohols (C8/C14).

Like Coco Glucoside , it is gentle on the skin, biodegradable and environmentally friendly, but it stands out with slightly different properties; it is softer and provides a light and stable foam , particularly suitable for sensitive skin and baby products.

It is widely used in natural and organic cosmetics, offering a safe alternative to harsh synthetic surfactants. Its gentleness and versatility make it an ideal choice for shampoos, shower gels, facial cleansers, and skincare products for sensitive or children's skin.

It can also be used in other applications beyond healthcare, such as industry, maintenance, or pet products.
